Privacy Policy
The short version
Your files never leave your device. Every PDF operation runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. No file data is ever uploaded. We use a minimal server only for license validation and abuse prevention, and privacy-friendly analytics that require no cookies.
No file uploads
When you use any tool on PDFLocal, the PDF processing happens locally in your browser using a WebAssembly-powered engine. Your files are never sent to a server. They stay on your machine from start to finish.
No cross-site tracking
PDFLocal does not use tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or any form of cross-site tracking. We do not collect personal information or behavioral data. We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
No cookies
PDFLocal does not set any cookies. There are no authentication cookies, preference cookies, or third-party cookies of any kind. Pro license keys are stored in your browser's local storage, which only your browser can access.
License validation
A lightweight server is used solely for license-key validation and daily usage-limit enforcement for free-tier users. These requests contain no file data — only a license key or an anonymous usage counter. No personal information is collected through these requests.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies, does not track individual users, and does not collect personal data. It provides us with aggregate page-view statistics so we can understand which tools are most useful. No personally identifiable information is collected or stored.
Verifiable privacy
Because all processing happens client-side, you can verify this by inspecting your browser's network tab while using any tool. You will see zero file data leaving your device.
